There are so many benefits to participating in therapy. Therapists can provide a safe and supportive environment in which individuals can learn problem-solving skills and enhanced coping strategies for different issues. Therapists can provide a fresh and impartial perspective on a difficult problem, or assist you on finding different ways to solve concerns. The benefits you obtain from therapy depend on how much are you willing to participate in the process and put into practice what you learn.
This is the most important question to ask because some studies had shown that the connection between therapist and client predicts 70% of the success in treatment. You are encouraged to take your time in choosing your therapist and get the information you need to make your decision. Call for your initial free interview and ask the questions important to you to get a sense of what it feels like to work with me!
If I don't think I will be the most advantageous therapist to work with you for whatever reason, I will tell you and offer a referral to someone who I think will be able to help you. If we decide to work together then we will schedule our next appointment.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes long; any time frame longer requires a prior authorization and will be charged accordingly. Each treatment is unique, and the length cannot be estimated from the outset. Other factors influence the course of treatment depending on the issues to be addressed. At the beginning of treatment, we will discuss your goals and objectives that make sense to you and measure progress based on those, so you have a sense of when to conclude. We require a 24 hours notice for cancellation of any appointments. You can call to cancel, or you can, after hours or on weekends, leave a message in the confidential voicemail system; our voicemail is time stamped. If cancellation is not received on time, a "reserved time fee" will be added to your account, payment of which is due on or before your next visit. Additionally, if you fail to show for a scheduled appointment, the same charge applies.
Currently, we are in network with many commercial insurances and also accept Medicaid. Fees are set depending on the length and type of session. We offer a considerable discount when paying out-of-pocket (please let us know if this is something you would like to consider). Many clients with commercial insurances prefer this option because notes and diagnoses are not shared with anyone. Some insurances or health savings accounts allow you to submit your claim to them and they will reimburse you when you use an out-of-network provider. However, it is your responsibility to contact them prior to your first appointment. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers.

We accept cash (exact amount appreciated), and most debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express,Discover,Diner's Club, JCB, HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flexible Saving Account).
